Tennis fans can thank Ons Jabeur for Anett Kontaveit's entrance into the sometimes wonderful world of Twitter. The two friends had plenty of social-media banter on Instagram last season, and there should be much more to go around in 2022.

The Estonian was very upfront about the whole thing, in her first official tweet, which has garnished over three thousand likes and over 200 retweets—not too shabby for the newbie.

To celebrate the notable day, Jabeur posted an identical photo of their iconic picture from last year. Tweeting the two photos side by side, she wrote a sweet welcome message to her friend:

Kontaveit and Jabeur are currently preparing Down Under for next week's Sydney Tennis Classic. Kontaveit is the No. 4 seed and will take on Shuai Zhang in her opening round, while Jabeur is set to face wild card Astra Sharma. The competitors could potentially meet in the WTA 500's quarterfinals.
