When Thanasi Kokkinakis and Nick Kyrgios come together on a tennis court, magic can happen. It’s why during their run to the Australian Open title, the home favorites were repeatedly referred to as the Special K’s for their ability to draw fans in while producing spectacular shot-making.

On Wednesday, Kokkinakis and Kyrgios were appropriately honored in a special kind of way. The two received custom printed WWE championship belts to commemorate their Grand Slam success by WWE Australia.

Kyrgios uploaded a short video on Instagram, ending his all-caps caption by stating, “We are changing the game.”

“It’s the tongue wag,” commented his doubles partner.

Ironically, three days earlier, Kyrgios and Kokkinakis were the subjects of a creative tennis Twitter video.

Teased as a highlights package of Kyrgios defeating Fabio Fognini in Miami, the altered clip depicted Kyrgios taking down the Italian inside the ring with an explosive kick as referee Kokkinakis confirmed the knockout.

“Hhahaha @TKokkinakis this is the best thing I’ve ever seen,” replied Kyrgios.

Kokkinakis responded, “Hahahah we were talking about it today too!”

The two will have more to talk about come Thursday when they battle Hubert Hurkacz and John Isner for a place in the Miami Open final.
