What a year it's been for Garbine Muguruza. The Spaniard just picked up her first AKRON WTA Finals title by defeating an on-fire Anett Kontaveit three times in the prestigious event with the final victory seeing her to the trophy in Guadalajara. Now that the 2021 season is officially over, she's been living her best life and enjoying the spectacular weather in the Caribbean but that's not all.

On Wednesday she met with King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain at the Royal Palace for her own official reception that celebrated her triumph in Mexico.

"Great honor and pleasure sharing this morning with the Kings," she wrote on Instagram.

Muguruza posed for photos with the King and Queen in a stunning red dress, but later that day she really pulled off a full glam look in an all-white Tot Hom gown. What was the occasion? The Vanity Fair 2021 Person of the Year' award gala—you know just a casual night out.

The world No. 3 was joined by her boyfriend Arthur Borgesasiste at the star-studded event that also took place at the Royal Palace. Always fashionable—she somehow always tops herself, perhaps it was the Caribbean glow this time.

Aside from claiming the WTA Finals, the 28-year-old came out on top in Dubai's WTA 1000 and at Chicago's WTA 500.
