Southern California may get the most ink for its impeccable weather, but more than 300 days of sunshine and moderate temperatures make Colorado pretty darn pleasant for all its outdoor activities, too.
The Broadmoor, Colorado Springs
- In Colorado Springs, The Broadmoor is an historic resort that provides access to classic Western experiences like horseback riding, fly fishing and canoeing. Guests can try their hand at some quirkier activities like archery and falconry, too—as well as the classics like golf and tennis. The Broadmoor Tennis Club has three cushioned hard-courts and two Har-Tru courts, and if you happen to visit during the winter, you can take advantage of the illuminated, heated bubble that keeps two of the hard courts in play.
