Gael Monfils is looking forward to spending another week in Tennis Paradise. The Frenchman is through to the second week of the BNP Paribas Open for the sixth time in his career and he's loving every second of it. Monfils took to Instagram to wish everyone a great week from the California desert.

"I wish you all a great week from Indian Wells," the Frenchman wrote on Instagram.

With his arms open wide, it almost seems as if Monfils was giving all his fans a massive hug on top of the great week wishes and fans weren't mad at it. Wearing a bright ocean blue Asics t-shirt with neon shorts—not to mention the peachy pink banner with the words "Tennis Paradise" written in bold letters made for a colorful photo op to say the least.

The BNP Paribas Open No. 14 seed is off to a stellar start, taking out Italy's Gianluca Mager, 6-4, 6-2, to get his campaign off the ground. Up next for Monfils is Kevin Anderson who took out Jordan Thompson in his opener and notched a solid win over No. 17 seed Lorenzo Sonego in the Round of 64.

Monfils holds a 5-1 winning head-to-head record against Anderson. However, the two haven't faced each other since 2018 Wimbledon, with Anderson securing his first victory over the world No. 18.

The two will battle it out for a spot in the last 16 on Tuesday at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
