The roster of potential next generation tennis stars has likely tripled this week: amid reports Rafael Nadal welcomed his first child with wife Maria Francisca Perello, Elina Svitolina and Gaël Monfils announced the arrival of daughter Skaï.

“What a night !!!” writes Svitolina, who shared an image of baby Skaï’s hand on social media.

“Can’t thanks enough my husband to live thru this unforgettable moment with me.”

Monfils was equally effusive of his wife’s efforts through what sounds like a long night of labor.

“I had the most amazing night of my life, which ended with the most beautiful gift around 6:00Am. Elina was strong and brave…I can't t thx enough my wife and God for this special moment.”

Svitolina and Monfils married last spring, and after last appearing on court at the Miami Open, the former world No. 3 let the tennis world know that they were expecting a daughter in May.

Medvedev joined the baby boom Saturday morning when he posted a picture of his first child, saluting his growing family with wife Daria.

“Welcome to the world baby girl,” captioned the former world No. 1, who was forced to retire from his Astana Open semifinal against Novak Djokovic last week.

Medvedev and Medvedeva have been married since 2018, and Daria has been a fixture at his matches throughout his rise to the top of the ATP rankings.

Might we see these youngsters form a doubles team or face off in a major final in the next two decades?
