Jannik Sinner's team seems to have got larger as he returns to competition this week at Eastbourne.

The 20-year-old from Italy appears to have brought on Darren Cahill as a coach, with the pair training together on court on the grass courts at Eastbourne before the tournament begins next week.

It will be Sinner's first event since retiring with a knee injury at the French Open.

The rising youngster had been rumored to be looking for a big-name to lead his team following his split with childhood coach Riccardo Piatti following the Australian Open, and is also being guided by Simone Vagnozzi.

Cahill, former coach of Andre Agassi, Lleyton Hewitt and Simona Halep, had started the season working with Amanda Anisimova, but then decided to take a break from the tour.

On social media this week, he said he was "healthy again, rested and excited" to be getting back to work, though he did not name a player. Cahill also works as a commentator for ESPN.

Neither has officially announced the new pairing.
