Another WTA baby is on the way! Former Top 20 player Alison Riske-Amritraj will be welcoming a baby girl with her husband, former ATP pro Stephen Amritraj, later this summer.

Riske-Amritraj made the announcement in a creative video posted to her Instagram account on Tuesday, which served not only as a gender reveal but also to introduce the couple's new dog, Teddy, to her audience of followers. Teddy, wearing a pink crown on her head, licked the frosting off a small cake that read, "Boy or Girl?", and pink frosting soon dotted her nose.

"Officially introducing our lovely Teddy Girl … who is introducing," Riske-Amritraj captioned the video, with a text overlay reading: "Little sister Amritraj coming in July!"

With the Paris Olympics set to be held this summer, the 33-year-old American, who represented her country at the last summer Games in 2021 (postponed from 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic), noted in the post that she's due to give birth in July. She is in fact tennis' third Tokyo Olympian to announce her pregnancy in the last five months, following Tokyo gold medalist Belinda Bencic's announcement last November and two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova's reveal on New Year's Day.

The former world No. 18, married her husband, nephew of former world No. 18 Vijay Amritraj, in 2019.

Riske-Amritraj's announcement was met with congratulations from her WTA peers including Jennifer Brady, Danielle Collins, Lauren Davis, and the retired Brit Johanna Konta—who herself gave birth to a daughter in September of 2022 after retiring from tennis following the 2021 season.

"Can't wait to spoil both of them," Collins commented, in reference to both Teddy and Riske-Amritraj's impending arrival.

Riske-Amritraj's last match to date was a first-round loss to Paula Badosa at Wimbledon last summer. A three-time WTA title-winner, Riske-Amritraj reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon in 2019, upsetting world No. 1 Ashleigh Barty along the way.
