1. John Isner

Champion, Atlanta Open ATP 250

John Isner looked ten years younger on Sunday as the 36-year-old defeated Brandon Nakashima in the Atlanta Open final. It took 21 aces to finish the NextGen player, but Isner managed to do it in straight sets, winning his sixth ATP title.

This was a revenge match for the American who previously lost to Nakashima in the Los Cabos semifinals last week. Isner now becomes only the third American in the Open Era to win at least six titles at the same tournament, alongside Pete Sampras (seven at Wimbledon) and Andre Agassi (six in Miami).

2. Varvara Lepchenko

Champion, LTP Women’s Open WTA 125 Series (Charlestgon, S.C.)

For her first WTA 125 title, Varvara Lepchenko had to endure a three-hour final on Sunday. She defeated fellow American Jamie Loeb in the epic match, coming back from a break down in the final set. Lepchenko has discussed her once again finding her love of the game after her divorce, finding inspiration with her new coach, Pere Riba, and Serena Williams.

3. Brandon Nakashima

Finalist, Atlanta Open ATP 250

It may not have been the result he wanted, but Nakashima should feel proud of his accomplishments. The American reached the final of the Atlanta Open, his second in the same number of weeks, cracking the Top 100 for the first time, despite falling to Isner.

4. Jamie Loeb

Finalist, LTP Women’s Open WTA 125 Series (Charleston, S.C.)

Jamie Loeb nearly won her first WTA 125 title. Loeb only dropped a single set to reach the final in Charleston, but came up just short of the win against countrywoman Lepchenko. However, she put up a fight by winning the second set to force a decider.
