In a season that can be known for its good tidings, Ashleigh Barty and husband Garry Kissick have shared their own heartwarming news.

On a special day no less, the couple revealed Barty is expecting baby No. 2.

“Merry Christmas from our growing family to yours,” the two wrote on Instagram in a collab post between their accounts.

The three-time major singles winner and Kissick became proud parents in July 2023 when Barty gave birth to their son, Hayden. In Wednesday's photo accompanying the exciting news, Hayden was adorably seen wearing a shirt that read, “I am going to be a BIG BROTHER.”

While Barty hung up her racquet for a second time in March 2022 when she was ranked No. 1 on the WTA, she’s stayed connected to the sport. Barty currently serves as the National Indigenous Tennis Ambassador for Tennis Australia, a position she was appointed to back in 2018.

The Queenslander launched the Ash Barty Foundation in January, bridging sport and education to help “as many young Australians as possible.” At Wimbledon, she made her debut in the invitational doubles tournament with longtime former partner Casey Dellacqua and provided commentary for the BBC.

Hayden has gotten in on the action, too. For he was spotted attending the Brisbane International and a Billie Jean King Cup qualifier, also staged in Brisbane, with his beloved mom during the most recent tennis season.
