For International Women's Day, Billie Jean King went to Sesame Street. The tennis legend was filmed in a clip for the long-running American children's show that educated young viewers about the worldwide day of honor, which dates back more than 100 years.

"Today and every day, we celebrate the achievements of women, past and present, and honor those who have worked to ensure those who have worked to ensure that women and girls everywhere are granted equal rights and opportunities," King says, while being joined by Rosita, the first bilingual Muppet on the show who debuted in 1991.

"Ms. King, thank you so much for all the amazing things you've done for girls like me," Rosita replies.

"I can't wait to see all the amazing things you do," King adds, and turning to the camera, she added to kids watching at home: "And you do."

The women of Indian Wells, meanwhile, were given their flowers in more ways than one as a part of the day's festivities at the BNP Paribas Open. And three of the seven moms who started the tournament in the draw—Victoria Azarenka, Angelique Kerber and Naomi Osaka—commemorated the day by speaking about their lives in a video posted to the tournament's social media channels.

"I'm really proud to be a mom now," Kerber, who beat a Top 10 player for the first time since 2021 when she toppled Jelena Ostapenko in Friday's second round.

"Even if I'm winning a match or losing a match, there's someone, she's always loving and this is what gives you more energy than anything else."

The tournament also held a panel discussion aimed at inspiring the next generation featuring American Emma Navarro, world No. 1 pickleball player Anna-Leigh Waters, and former WTA pro and current Tennis Channel commentator Chanda Rubin.
