Merci, Caro: Garcia gets emotional send-off in final Roland Garros

Caroline Garcia started her forever after over the weekend, as she married longtime partner and Tennis Insider Club podcast co-host Borja Duran in a stunning ceremony in Spain.

Dubbing it "the most beautiful day of our lives" on social media, Garcia shared photos from the couple's dreamy day at the historic La Torre Del Remei in the Catalonia region which included everything from a traditional church ceremony to crowd-surfing on the dance floor. The couple's expansive photo set and candid memories elicited congratulations from Paula Badosa, Garbiñe Muguruza, Ons Jabeur, Carla Suárez Navarro, and a host of other players.

Garcia announced her imminent retirement from tennis prior to Roland Garros, where she received an emotional send-off at her home Grand Slam event. After losing in the first round of singles to American Bernarda Pera, she and compatriot Diane Parry reached the third round in doubles.

Parry, and Garcia's other former Billie Jean King Cup teammates Clara Burel and Alizé Cornet, were in attendance to watch Garcia tie the knot.

While she said that she'll play "a few" more tournaments this year before officially hanging up her racquets, Garcia has already been seamlessly tranisitioning into post-tennis life. Last year, she enrolled in Harvard Business School, and her and Duran's podcast has snagged high-profile guests including Naomi Osaka and Wimbledon champion Iga Swiatek, among others.

The former WTA Finals champion relished being on the other side of things at the recently-concluded fortnight as SW19, too, where she created content on-site and connected with her peers in a new way.
