Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery for Coco Gauff, who says that WNBA star Cameron Brink "rocked" her recent pregame tribute to her Roland Garros outfit.

The Los Angeles Sparks rookie went viral for her cosplay as the reigning US Open champion, arriving to the arena for a game against the Indiana Fever on Tuesday wearing a New Balance collared polo tank and pleated skirt from the brand's tennis collection, similar to the separates that Gauff is wearing on court in Paris.

"I want to be like Coco," Brink said. A small forward for the Sparks, Brink is also sponsored by New Balance.

"I think she rocked the fit 'better than anybody could have," Gauff told Roland Garros reporters Friday after the video made its way to Paris. Gauff also reposted a photo of the two side-by-side to her Instagram story, and wrote that Brink's pregame looks "always eat."

A noted basketball fan, the 20-year-old added she was surprised by the shoutout.

"I haven't got the chance to meet Cameron yet, but obviously been watching her a lot when she was at Stanford and now seeing her in the WNBA is great, and I definitely want to try to catch a game," she said. "There are a couple of players I want to see."

If she doesn't get a chance to watch Brink flex her muscles in the arena, Gauff says she hopes to see the New Jersey native have the chance to show off her own style chops with her own signature New Balance shoe, which would put the rooke in a small sorority of WNBA players to have one.

"I hope one day maybe ... I can rock it too for my press events," Gauff said. "She's awesome."

Gauff, too, has been awesome on the terre battue at Roland Garros. She clinched a spot in the quarterfinals of Roland Garros for the fourth straight year with a 6-1, 6-2 win over unseeded Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto on Sunday. In four matches in Paris, Gauff hasn't lost a set, and has surrendered just 18 games.
