Doing it for the clout? Casper Ruud calls out sisters' impressions in hilarious Indian Wells interview

Under the influence: At the BNP Paribas Open on Friday, Casper Ruud took a playful jab at sisters Caroline and Charlotte's impersonations of him that have taken social media by storm.

In case you missed it last week: The Norwegian's sisters raided his closet and did their best efforts to copy their brother's on-court mannerisms in a hilarious, viral TikTok. But after beating Diego Schwartzman in the second round of the ATP Masters 1000 event, the ATP world No. 4 used his own platform—the Tennis Channel desk—for the latest verbal volley in this good-natured sibling rivalry.

"They're just in my closet taking out whatever I wore last year and ... they're really into it," Ruud told Steve Weissman and Prakash Amritraj. "I toy with them a little bit and say, 'Don't do it too much!' I call them clout-chasers because they're using my using my status, they're using my clothes, to get some views themselves, so I have to give them a little bit of s--- back."

While Ruud's life on tour has long been a family affair with his father and coach, former ATP pro Christian Ruud, by his side, he said that his sisters' latest brush with fame is a sign of the close-knit bond that they all share.

"It's gotten to this point now in the family where we can have fun with each other," he said. "It's all fun games, but I need to do some comebacks here and there."

Whatever tricks the two-time Grand Slam finalist has up his sleeve, they better be good: The video has racked up more than 160,000 views on TikTok to date.
