Emma Raducanu was awarded an MBE award from King Charles III of England on Tuesday.

Recognized for her services to tennis, the 2021 US Open champion received the honor at an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle.

Raducanu had already been made a Member of the Order of the British Empire after becoming the first British woman to win a Grand Slam in 44 years last summer.

"It's been great to receive my honor today from his Majesty the King," said Raducanu. "I feel extremely grateful."

Though she was pictured posing proudly next to her medal, the teenager admitted it wasn’t, in fact, that big of a deal for her family.

“It was just like a normal Friday or Saturday night,” she reportedly told Grazia magazine.

Having accomplished so much at such a young age, the journey can be accompanied by pressures. Raducanu revealed she feels comfortable confiding in fellow Brit Andy Murray, when she comes across any issues and concerns.

Not only do the two tennis players share the same background, they also share similar experiences of turning professional as a teenager, and the weight that comes with that.

And the spotlight won't seem to dim on Emma anytime soon: she's made history and gained $21 million over the past year alone.

Since her US Open triumph, she has piled on a collection of endorsement deals from British Airways, Dior, Evian, HSBC, Porsche, Tiffany and Vodafone.
