Engagement SZN! Felix Auger-Aliassime, Alexei Popyrin join Casper Ruud with proposal news

The off-season may be here…

… but on the ATP Tour, it’s officially been overtaken by engagement SZN!

Just a few days after Casper Ruud shared that he had proposed to Maria Galligani, two of the Norwegian’s colleagues have also announced they’ve put a ring on it.

Alexei Popyrin revealed his engagement to long-time girlfriend Amy Pederick through an Instagram post captioned, “Forever with you.”

Commented countryman Alex de Minaur, “Ayeeeeeeeeeeee big boy pop!!!”

“Shiiiiii mans all grown up,” added fellow Aussie Thanasi Kokkinakis.

Popyrin is coming off a career-best season that saw him lift a maiden ATP Masters 1000 trophy in Montreal and crack the Top 25.

Hours later, Felix Auger-Aliassime broke the news that he and Nina Ghaibi were celebrating happy news of their own.

“Couldn’t have dreamt of a better forever,” wrote the Canadian on his social media accounts.

Coco Gauff, Hubert Hurkacz and Victoria Azarenka were among those toasting the engaged couple. Joked Stefanos Tsitsipas, “Finally, someone to share a Netflix password with forever. Congratulations Felix!”

Auger-Aliassime and Ghaibi, cousin of three-time major quarterfinalist Ajla Tomljanovic, have been together since 2019. The Montreal native finished the season inside the Top 30 with a 32-25 record.
