Some food combinations are built to spark debate—pineapples on pizza, fries in milkshakes... and now, Iga Swiatek’s strawberries and pasta.

The No. 8 seed had just wrapped up a win on Centre Court when she was asked about her dinner plans. Swiatek shared that she’d been craving a childhood favorite: makaron z truskawkami, a popular Polish dish made with strawberries, pasta and yogurt.

Cue gasps from the Wimbledon crowd—and plenty of social media side-eyes—as the combo left many fans baffled.

"Why is it such a big thing? Everybody should eat that," Swiatek said, grinning after her third-round win.

"I think in summer kids are eating it a lot. I don't know. It's just a perfect mix of tastes."

While strawberries and cream are a Wimbledon tradition, pasta is sacred in Italy—and now, Flavio Cobolli is wading in with mock horror.

The world No. 24 looked deeply unimpressed when asked about Swiatek’s post-match meal suggestion.

“I talked with her yesterday,” Cobolli told Tennis Channel’s Steve Weissman and Jon Wertheim on Monday. “I told her, ‘What did (you do)? Now they want to try strawberry and pasta!’”

“I wouldn’t want to be in her position… I wish good luck for her when she comes back (to) Italy!”

Asked to pick the bigger offense—pineapples on pizza or strawberries and pasta—Cobolli didn’t hesitate.

“She said yogurt on pasta… this is worse,” he confirmed, adding, “I tried pineapple (on pizza) and it’s not so bad!”

Maybe all Cobolli needs is a bite of makaron z truskawkami? He could be in for a sweet surprise.
