Danielle Collins is geared up for her final season, both literally and figuratively. The 2022 Australian Open finalist has signed a one-year deal with FP Movement, the activewear line from American clothing retailer Free People, to outfit her for the rest of the year.

Collins had been playing without a sponsor since her New Balance contract expired late in 2021; she famously, but unofficially, wore Alo Yoga tennis clothes in her Top 10 2022, but FP Movement will now officially supply Collins with her on- and off-court activewear until she officially hangs up her racquets.

The brand had previously teased its official collaboration with "ambassador" Collins in March, when its social media channels congratulated her for winning her first WTA 1000 title at the Miami Open, and she confirmed the deal to *Forbes* exclusively this week.

“FP Movement has been a wonderful and collaborative partner this year and I look forward to the remainder of 2024,” she said. “FP Movement is the perfect mix between fashion and function. I love how each style allows me to express my personal style without sacrificing performance.”

Collins is joining her fellow Americans, Sofia Kenin and Sloane Stephens, as faces of the brand, which launched in 2020 and signed Kenin and Stephens in 2022 and 2023, respectively. And Collins already credited the brand for influencing her career-best form, jokingly saying that the main difference between her 2024 run in Miami, where she beat five seeds to win the title, and her 2018 semifinal run as a qualifier that introduced her to the tennis mainstream was "a better outfit."

Collins' favorite pieces include FP Movement's Free Throw Tank and the Volley Skirt, separates she wore throughout her 15-match winning streak that brought her trophies in Miami and Charleston and a quarterfinal in Madrid, and she's been wearing the Never Better collection for off-court workouts.

“With a wide array of styles and color choices, there’s always something I love wearing on and off the court from the assortment,” Collins said, but fans shouldn't expect her to settle for what she's already played (and won) in. The American teased to Forbes that new colorways and styles across skorts, dresses, onesies and more will be coming later this year, and that she couldn't be more thrilled to have the brand as a partner in her final days on tour.

“FP Movement is constantly growing their court sport assortment,” Collins said. “It’s exciting to be one of the first to try their new styles.

"2024 has been really great to me as I see my hard work paying off, and I look forward to keeping this momentum going.”
