Tennis players: Take your off-duty cues from Reilly Opelka.

The American’s peers have been fighting through the brutal heat and ever-changing weather conditions at the Australian Open, where top seeded players and Break Point stars alike are tumbling faster than crypto stocks.

Opelka, meanwhile, has been posting up a storm on social media and rubbing elbows with fashion designers, K-pop idols and more at Milan Fashion Week all week long.

The 6’ 11” player was recently sat front row at Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons’s Fall/Winter 2023 Prada Menswear show, alongside other distinguished guests including rapper Stormzy, film director Luca Guadagnino—the man behind the upcoming Zendaya-led tennis comedy Challengers—and all seven members of K-pop group ENHYPHEN.

The 25-year-old also shared one of the night’s highlights: A photo of himself shaking hands with Miuccia herself, head designer at the Italian luxury fashion house and founder of Miu Miu.

“That one was special!” Opelka wrote on Instagram, adding a heart emoji to the caption.

The American—who also shared a backstage snap with Jonathan Anderson, the creative director of JW Anderson, during another show—has been sidelined since fall of last year due to a hip injury. He last competed at the ATP 500 event in Washington D.C., falling in the round of 16 to Nick Kyrgios, before shutting down his season to undergo surgery.

Opelka’s love for art and the fashion business has been well documented, and he seems to have spent his five-month hiatus from tennis dedicated to recovery, as well as going on an envy-inducing tour of his off-court passions: He’s been spotted taking in Thom Browne and Rick Owens' shows during Paris Fashion Week, at Chanel's beachy runway during Art Basel in Miami, and more.

His tennis comeback is set to begin next month at the Dallas Open, where he’s scheduled to compete at the indoor ATP 250 event.
