After cracking the Top 30 in 2018, 2019 and 2020, this year was a long-overdue breakthrough for the 26-year-old, who is sixth in the rankings thanks to a season's worth of impressive results compiled on a variety surfaces and against an array of players. She enters the Akron WTA Finals in Guadalajara having won two out of every three matches (36-18), and having put together her two deepest runs at Grand Slam tournaments.
