She's a Wayniac! Jelena Ostapenko's newfound fandom for the rapper Lil Wayne caught the eye of this man himself on social media this week.

The unexpected but unsurprising (more on that later) crossover event all stemmed from an interview that Ostapenko gave earlier this year on Tennis Channel, where she told Prakash Amritraj that the man they call Weezy stole the show for her when she attended a Drake concert in Miami.

"I think it was nice but honestly the part of the concert where it was Lil Wayne, I liked way better. I don’t know I felt his vibe and music was so nice," Ostapenko said. "When there was Drake, I was just standing, I was not dancing much, and when Lil Wayne came out, I was like dancing every single song even if I didn’t know them.

"After the concert, I started to listen to a lot of Lil Wayne’s songs."

This week, the praise found its way to the freestyler ... if a few months late. On Monday, he reposted the clip to his Instagram story, out of the blue, and thanked Ostapenko for the "luv."

While the timing of the Grammy winner's shoutout was uexpected, his knowledge of tennis runs deep. The rapper, whose legal name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., has been an avid fan of the sport for years (Andre Agassi was like a "pop star" in his youth, he once said) and last year, he attended the US Open.

In fact, while serving jail time in New York's Rikers Island in 2010, he now-famously predicted that year's champions (Kim Clijsters and Rafael Nadal) at the year's final major in a letter to \*Sports Illustrated \*writer Bryan Armen Graham.

"I love the Williams sisters, I adore Maria Sharapova, and I'm a huge Nadal fan!" he wrote in the handwritten letter.

You know what they say: Real Gs move in silence.
