Fresh off their first event of the season, Karen Khachanov and Coco Gauff were spotted enjoying their day off at the zoo in Adelaide. The two were escorted around the park and saw an array of animals and Khachanov even attempted to make a friend, but it didn't go too well.

Khachanov and Gauff spent time with Quokka and Kangaroos, but the Russian's encounter with a monkey was absolute gold. Gauff sat back and watched the world No. 30 attempt to pass along food to the cute and furry animal, but the monkey wasn't in such a friendly mood and quickly snatched the food from Khachanov.

Meanwhile, Gauff laughed at the hilarious situation in the background and gave some commentary for the fans. "The monkey is 1-0 up against Karen Khachanov," she wrote on her Instagram story.

Both players had a solid week in Adelaide, Gauff fell to world No. 1 Ashleigh Barty in the Round of 16, but went the distance with the Aussie. Khachanov nearly grabbed the ATP 250's title, but fell to an impressive Gael Monfils in the final round. Gauff and Khachanov are continuing their Australian Open prep at the Adelaide International 2 this week.

Gauff picked up a first-round win over Katerina Siniakova and faces Marta Kostyuk next. Khachanov will take on Gianluca Mager in his opener. Both are seeded No. 3 at the event.
