HIGHLIGHTS: Eugenie Bouchard's last match

Forget the rose ceremony. This summer, love is served courtside.

Introducing Game, Set, Matchmaker, a new dating show set to unfold entirely within the electrifying atmosphere of the US Open in New York. Part reality TV, part social experiment, the show follows one confident bachelorette as she seeks real connection amid Grand Slam chaos—and maybe even finds her perfect ‘doubles partner’ for life along the way.

Produced by the US Open and set to premiere on YouTube, the unscripted series is breaking ground at the intersection of sports, pop culture and romance—and aims to tap into the cultural phenomenon launched by shows like Love Island USA, Love Is Blind and The Bachelor in recent years.

At the center of it all is “the Champion,” 24-year-old Ilana Sedaka, a former figure skater turned Pilates coach with enough competitive spirit to rally through the heartbreak—and who has “zero time for second serves.”

“I’ve been going to the US Open since I was little,” Sedaka says. “To now be stepping into something this fun, flirty and personal—right in the middle of it—is kind of surreal.

“I’ve actually gone on a few dates at the Open before, but this time, I get to explore real connection with seven amazing guys and actually choose what feels right for me.”

Raised on Long Island in tennis royalty territory (she literally grew up in Vitas Gerulaitis’ former home), Sedaka knows her way around a court—and a camera. With a built-in court at home, she inevitably picked up a racquet and honed her tennis skills. Now she’s bringing her A-game as she steps into the show’s role of ‘the Champion’: “I’m in a place where I know what I want,” she says. “And I’m not afraid to take my time and see who’s really showing up.”

Seven contestants ranging from influencers and social media personalities to tennis superfans will compete for Sedaka’s affection in a fast-paced, emotionally charged series filled with courtside chemistry, high-pressure challenges, and the occasional breakup double fault.

Game, Set, Matchmaker is a collaboration between the USTA, production company Fresh Tape Media, and casting pros Alissa Danzig and Brian Pollack of CastingHaus—whose past credits include The Bachelor, Revengineers and The Carbornaro Effect. Their mission is to create a format where “competition meets connection.”

“This series isn’t just about chemistry,” says Pollack. “It’s about finding personalities who bring heart, heat and unpredictability.”

The USTA sees Game, Set, Matchmaker as a fresh way to expand the tournament’s cultural reach. “We’re excited to break new ground,” says Jonathan Zipper, the USTA’s senior director of social media. “It’s the perfect time to launch a social-forward concept that meets the moment.”

Game, Set, Matchmaker will be filmed during US Open Fan Week (Monday, Aug. 18 to Saturday, Aug. 23) at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Episodes will air on the US Open’s YouTube channel during the main draw, which starts on Sunday, August 24.
