Stefanos Tsitsipas’ team just got smaller ahead of the season’s second major tournament.

On Tuesday, Mark Philippoussis announced that the two had parted ways. The Australian came on board last July and helped the 24-year-old reach his second major final at January's Australian Open.

“@stefanostsitsipas98 thank for the opportunity of being a part of your team. It was a great ride and experience,” wrote Philippoussis.

“I’m proud of what we achieved together in the short amount of time we had. I wish you health, happiness and success for your future, on and off the court! 🙏🏼💙”

Tsitsipas, whose maiden Grand Slam final appearance came two years ago at the Paris major, now returns to having father Apostolos Tsitsipas as his sole coach. Their public dynamic has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ever since the Athens native emerged as a Top 10 mainstay on the ATP Tour.

Set to be seeded No. 5 at Roland Garros, Tsitsipas is 27-8 on the season. A year ago, he was knocked out by Holger Rune in the round of 16.

Tsitsipas has produced consistent results during the lead-in European clay-court swing, going 13-4. In his most recent effort, Tsitsipas advanced to the semifinals of Rome's Masters 1000 event.
