There’s Miami heat, and then there’s the Miami Heat. For a few tennis players this week, their worlds have collided with the popular NBA franchise.

Forward Jimmy Butler hosted Emma Raducanu at his Big Face Coffee pop-up shop on the grounds of the Miami Open.

“Latte it is, Ms. Emma,” Butler said with a smile.

“With oatmilk. Thanks,” requested the 2021 US Open champion.

Butler then shared with the 19-year-old that she is his daughter’s favorite tennis player. After presenting Raducanu with her fresh hot espresso-based beverage, he received an instant review.

“He did very good. The coffee art was something,” she said.

Though content, Raducanu left room for improvement when judging the final product—little surprise given the mindset required to make it—and stay at—the top level as a world-class athlete.

“Out of 10? Nine,” the Brit remarked.

On Wednesday, Italian besties Matteo Berrettini and Lorenzo Sonego had the chance to see Butler in action. The two enjoyed a marquee matchup courtside when the Heat hosted the Golden State Warriors.

Though the visiting squad ultimately prevailed 118-104, in a game where Butler put up 20 points in defeat, that didn’t spoil the fun evening out. “What a night,” captioned Sonego. Berrettini even had the opportunity to meet legendary sprinter Usain Bolt.

Raducanu was due to face Katerina Siniakova Thursday in the second round of the WTA 1000 event. Berrrettini and Sonego will begin their bids Friday or Saturday.
