On Monday, Baseline covered tennis' best at the Met Gala in New York City. Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Naomi Osaka, newly crowned US Open champion Emma Raducanu, Maria Sharapova and even more names made their way down the iconic red carpet. However, a few names were missed last night and apparently it wasn't just us.

2017 US Open winner, Sloane Stephens showed up also wearing red like Venus. Her rouge gown had a deep V cut and also a high slit that showed off her figure in an elegant way. She wore her hair in fresh cornrows with a bun slicked back that tied the entire look together stunningly. Stephens' dress was made by designer Jason Rembert’s and is from ALIÉTTE. The modern-luxury brand that incorporates elements of opulence and glamour is based in NYC.

The 28-year-old didn't just pose for photographers at the MET, she also captured the dress in the middle of a New York City street and let's just say it was well worth the risk. With cars going around her, she smiled while snapping a few sizzling photos.

The world No. 55 didn't attend the fashion event alone, boyfriend and American soccer player Jozy Altidore stood by her side throughout the evening and walked the carpet with her as well.

Besides Stephens, Ajla Tomljanovic and Matteo Berrettini made an appearance at the event, but did not make a red carpet entrance. Besides Berrettini posting an Instagram Story this morning of the two and also Tomljanovic's cousin Nina Ghaibi who joined boyfriend Felix Auger-Aliassime, no one could have known they were there. Or could they?

A few Getty Images have taken the Twitter world by storm. Berrettini and Tomljanovic stand in the background and appear to be waiting for someone while music artist Lorde and Josh O'Connor pose for photos. The two provided a few laughs, but let's be honest they ate the Met Gala up! Tomljanovic wore a beautiful sequin dress that highlighted the sparkling lights of NYC, and Berrettini kept it classy in a sleek black suit.
