The Nike x Naomi Osaka summer collection is here, and the four-time Grand Slam champion took to social media to talk fans through every item in the capsule.

Her latest Nike collaboration is dominated by “shy colors” like muted green, purple and beige, as each item also “blossoms” with pops of color and graphic flower pattern elements.

“This season is about blooming and opening up to the world,” Osaka said in a post on Instagram.

The "Move To Bloom" line features performance-driven and techwear-inspired garments for women including cropped tops and jerseys, tennis skirts and shorts, tennis shoes as well as tops for men.

The highlight of the collection is a pair of black NikeCourt Air Zoom GP Turbos, which feature floral patterns, plant-like embellishments and Japanese-inspired motifs. According to Nike, the shoes’ design “celebrate[s] Naomi’s cultural roots and growing interest in both fine arts and organic gardening.”

Osaka’s favorite item, a spruce green cropped football jersey, is another highlight. Eagle-eyed Osaka fans will recall seeing the former world No. 1 rock this jersey back in March, when she showed off her baby bump for the first time in a series of photos from a trip to Japan.

“P.S., yes we have created the hardest tennis skirt and cropped football jersey to ever hit the market. You’re welcome,” Osaka said of the outfit.

Osaka announced at the start of the year that she would be sitting out the 2023 season to welcome her first child, having been off the court since last September.

The former world No. 1 has doubled down on her intention to get back to winning Grand Slams after giving birth. On Friday, she took to social media to both promote her upcoming Nike collection and set the record straight about her comeback.

“Btw to the people that are suddenly concerned about my career,” Osaka wrote. “There are plenty of male athletes with kids that are significantly less accomplished, you might wanna worry about them instead.

“Thanks for the concern, might wanna redirect it to someone that needs it though.”
