It had been almost a year since the last singles tour-level title for Andrey Rublev, but the Russian has ended the streak. However, he not only won the singles Open 13 Provence trophy against Felix Auger-Aliassime, but also raised the doubles crown with Denys Molchanov. This is the first time since 2010 that a player has won both crowns at the Marseille tournament. The last person to do it was Frenchman Michael Llodra.

During the on-court interview, Rublev had nothing but praise for his Canadian opponent.

"All the battles I have had with Felix since the first time back in 2018 have had drama,” Rublev said. “All have had at least one set that went 7-6 and now he is one of the greatest players. Especially this season, he is on top now. It was a pleasure to share a court with him and have an amazing final like this.”

En route to the final, Rublev became known as "the French killer", defeating three Frenchman consecutively—Richard Gasquet, Lucas Pouille and Benjamin Bonzi. Not only that, but the 24-year-old is now the fourth Russian to win the Open 13 title, alongside Daniil Medvedev in 2021, Karen Khachanov in 2018, and Yevgeny Kafelnikov in 2001.

This was Rublev's first singles title since Rotterdam of March 2021.
