Yonex EZONE

The EZONE has garnered a loyal following thanks to its attractive blend of power, control, comfort and versatility. Whether just earning your stripes or racking up tournament wins, it’s a something-for-everyone type of frame that suits a variety of players and styles.

When a racquet has a significant fanbase, updates tend to be in the fringes. For this latest EZONE, it starts at the top of the hoop, which has been made slightly longer and wider. This increases the power and responsiveness of the frame, and gives it the largest sweet spot in franchise history.

The inner frame structure has also been extended to increase the racquet’s flex at impact compared to the outgoing model. That results in greater ball pocketing and longer dwell time. Users get better feel for the ball on the strings, and enhanced control.

A completely new material, Minolon, has been added to throat. Made using threads spun by bagworms (minomushi), the fine strands are held together by adhesive to form a soft, smooth, net-like structure. Combined with the vibration dampening mesh within the handle, it gives the frame an even quieter, more arm-friendly response.

From a design perspective, the Blast Blue colorway and curved wave patterns give the frame a more energetic and vibrant look.
