Jelena Dokic has assumed the role of on-court interviewer and her post-match chats with Serena Williams have garnered a lot of attention for being so wholesome and fun.

She first spoke to Serena after she topped Anastasia Potapova in the third round.

"Can’t explain to you all how much it means to me that you all loved my interview with Serena and that you all love my work," Dokic wrote afterward on Instagram. "I will continue to try and be better and bring fun interviews to you all, although this one will be hard to beat."

Dokic is a former world No. 4 who reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open in 2009 (she's also appeared in the Roland Garros quarterfinals and Wimbledon semifinals). Though born in Croatia, the 37-year-old represented Australia for most of her career, hence her Aussie twang.

She and Serena go way back—having played each other four times on tour—and their friendship is really shining through. Dokic is comfortable asking the American about her fashion choices, her family, the remodeling of her new home and all sorts of off-court topics.

After Serena's three-set win over Aryna Sabalenka, Dokic did beat her past interview, and even brought up Valentine's Day.

Usually post-match interviews last a minute or two, but Serena's have been closer to five minutes, and fans are relishing these pure, candid moments. Dokic is soaking it all in, too.

Hopefully everyone will hear more from Serena after she plays Simona Halep in the quarterfinals.
