During the five-month shutdown, the pros picked up new hobbies and passions in their unexpected spare time. Many got into cooking and gardening, some returned to outside talents like making music and a few got into something totally new.

Anastasija Sevastova decided to go the new route and put on a pair of rollerblades.

"I am not a great rollerblader, but basically the lockdown started and I said let's go, let's try it out," she told Tennis Channel.

The Latvian explained that she was comfortable on flat terrain, but hills could pose a problem.

"When it's downhill, I'm not good," she said. "We went for like [6 miles] and then there was this hill. My boyfriend was standing before me and was breaking with me to help me."

The hands on help wouldn't be enough as Sevastova careened down the hill at full speed toward a bridge. She would end up falling, but was lucky to walk away with minor bumps despite not wearing a helmet (she did wear knee pads).

"I was fine, but it was really crazy," she said. "I was shocked."

The world No. 44 must be glad to be back in tennis shoes as she begins her New York swing against Kristina Mladenovic at the Western & Southern Open on Saturday.
