As Will Smith's more than 6 million Instagram followers scrolled through the actor's Instagram feed this week, the tennis fans among them might've immediately recognized one face in a video that was reposted into the King Richard star's story: American Shelby Rogers.

Amongst his usual posts about his own endeavors and projects, Smith's eagle-eyed audience also noticed that Smith reposted the Top 30 player's impressive workout video—in which she's seen doing lower-body stretches with kettle bells while in a handstand position.

But after winning her first-round match at the Mutua Madrid Open on Wednesday over China's Zhang Shuai, Rogers revealed that while going viral was breaking news, the content itself actually wasn't new.

"My trainer and I spent like 40 minutes trying to film this video," Rogers told Prakash Amritraj at the Tennis Channel desk. "It's so funny because we did this five years ago ... It popped up on my phone as a memory, and I shared it again.

"I'm officially viral now! My first viral video."

If you've visited Rogers' personal social media these days, you'll notice, though, that the 31-year-old isn't short on new content.

The fun she's having, and sharing, on her accounts, comes in part from the mind of Jakub Ostajewski, who's been traveling with as a part of her coaching team to tournaments this year. One in particular heralded the start of the clay-court season in a creative way, soundtracked to Elvis Presley's song "Burning Love."

"I have Kuba here with me, and he's 22, so I have to get in all the Gen Z trends. I've gotta be cool again! I'm trying to keep up," Rogers joked.

But becoming her own social mogul is a small slice of a larger new perspective that Rogers said she's adopted after her latest lay-off from the tour. Last year, she missed the second half of the season due to knee surgery, and won her first match in nearly a year last month in Miami.

"I've been on tour 13, 14 years now, which feels like a blink of an eye. But at the same time, you can go to all of these cities which are beautiful, but we go every year, and you can get in a routine and sort of take some things for granted, I feel like," she said.

"I wanted to just be able to take a step back, be outside of myself a little bit, and just really appreciate everything around it. It helps me be a little more present, which is just helpful for playing tennis better, enjoying everything, finding joy in the little things."
