The ITF's Katrina Adams stays on the front lines for women with the Tory Burch Foundation Sports Fellowship

Seventeen-year-old Linda Fruhvirtova captured the first WTA singles title of her career with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 comeback against No. 3 seed Magda Linette at the Chennai Open, a WTA 250 event in India.

It was the second come-from-behind win for the rising teenager in as many days: In the semifinals, she came from 4-2 down in the final set of an eventual 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 win over 2020 Roland Garros semifinalist Nadia Podoroska, and also rallied from 4-1 down in the third set of her win against Linette.

Fruhvirtova beat three seeded players in five matches to hoist her first-ever tour-level trophy. She also defeated No. 5 seed Rebecca Peterson in the second round and No. 2 seed Varvara Gracheva in the quarterfinals.

At 17 years and 141 days old, Fruhvirtova is the youngest WTA singles champion in more than a year, and for her efforts, will break the WTA's Top 100 in the rankings for the first time on Monday.

But the Chennai winner's trophy wasn't the only hardware that a Fruhvirtova took home on Sunday. The younger of the two Czech sisters, 15-year-old Brenda, captured a fifth straight title on the ITF Pro Circuit with a win in Santa Margherita di Pula, Italy.

She's now won 25 straight matches on the ITF tour in women's events dating back more than a month, and captured seven titles in total this year. In her unbeaten run, she's lost just two sets.
