Victoria Azarenka battled back from 6-3, 2-0 down to beat Jelena Ostapenko on Friday night, 3-6, 6-3, 7-5, and she's now within one win of her third career Indian Wells title.

Azarenka is actually within one win of becoming the first woman ever to win Indian Wells three times.

There have been nine two-time women’s champions in the WTA 1000 event’s history, and none of them have won a third—yet:
~ Martina Navratilova (1990, 1991)
~ Mary Joe Fernandez (1993, 1995)
~ Steffi Graf (1994, 1996)
~ Lindsay Davenport (1997, 2000)
~ Serena Williams (1999, 2001)
~ Daniela Hantuchova (2002, 2007)
~ Kim Clijsters (2003, 2005)
~ Maria Sharapova (2006, 2013)
~ Victoria Azarenka (2012, 2016)

Azarenka beat Sharapova in the 2012 final, 6-2, 6-3, and Serena in the 2016 final, 6-4, 6-4. The Belarusian will face Spaniard Paula Badosa in the 2021 final.
