Carlos Alcaraz confidently secured his place in the Wimbledon semifinals with a 6-2, 6-3, 6-3 victory over Cameron Norrie on Tuesday. In the process, the 22-year-old may have also landed a golf date with Marvel megastar Tom Holland.

Before facing Norrie, the defending champion received a visit from the English actor on the practice courts. Cameras captured the pair snapping selfies and chatting, with the conversation soon turning to their shared love of golf.

“I saw you playing golf as well. Good swing,” Alcaraz told the Spider-Man star. A keen golfer who regularly plays in pro-am events, Holland responded, “We should play!”

There are some videos of him playing golf. I would say he could beat me. Alcaraz on Tom Holland's golf skills

Alcaraz will likely be penciling that into his busy Wimbledon schedule, which already includes a few rounds with former world No. 1 Andy Murray. The Brit recently trolled Alcaraz on social media, telling reporters to “ask him what happened” in their latest golf outing.

Holland, for his part, isn't just a golf fan—he’s a big tennis lover too. A regular Wimbledon attendee, he also paid a visit to the BNP Paribas Open last year with girlfriend Zendaya during the promotional tour for her tennis film Challengers (2024).

Now the only question is whether they can find time to hit the course together. Alcaraz gave an update during his post-match press conference in Tennis.com’s Quote of the Day:

Q. I saw a video earlier today of you speaking to Tom Holland about getting a round of golf booked in. Will you be as ruthless with him as you are on the tennis court?

CARLOS ALCARAZ: Once we set up a match on golf, I just go for it (smiling).

I saw him playing sometimes. There are some videos of him playing golf. I would say he could beat me.

But yeah, I would love to play against him in the golf course. For me it would be such an honor. I will try to set it up in these two days that I will have much time to do it.

Let's see if he will be available, and we'll tee it up.

Here’s hoping these two golf buffs—and Rolex collectors—can make this tennis-and-golf crossover work.

Alcaraz will return to Centre Court on Friday to face Eastbourne champion Taylor Fritz in the semifinals. The Spaniard leads their head-to-head 2-0, though this will be their first meeting on grass.

“He's playing such a great tennis. I think his game is pretty well on grass, playing flat, playing aggressively, big serve,” Alcaraz said.

“I will try to be focused. I will try to show my best tennis… I will try to play aggressively. I will not let him playing aggressively or dominate the game. We will see.”
