As Australian tennis standout (and social media sensation) Daria Saville quipped in June of 2023, it was “the hardest launch” she had ever seen.

That’s when the world was exposed to the phenomenon that would forever be coined “Tsitsidosa”: the romantic pairing of Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa. For the better part of a year, the former Top 3 players were No. 1 when it came to cross-tour couples being in the spotlight.

They were everywhere: from photoshoots to the socials to each other’s players box.

Apparently, though, it seemed all good things must come to an end. In early May, Badosa posted to her Instagram stories that she and Tsitsipas were over, in one of the more sincere messages one can ever expect to see about the end of a relationship.

“I realized that this relationship I have with Paula is completely different from any other relationship I have had in the past,” Tsitsipas said at the time.

"I feel that she is my person and we understand each other; that puts more value in everything I do and I want her by my side as often as possible. So yes, we've reconnected and we're in a good moment.”

And that “moment” has continued to last throughout 2024. The Greek-Spanish duo knows how to have a good time on the court.

On their respective tours, it was a noteworthy year for Tsitsidosa, too.

Despite falling out of the Top 10, Tsitsipas did win his third career Monte Carlo title. Badosa’s season was even more noteworthy as she returned from a career-threatening back injury to make a return to the world’s Top 15 and snag the WTA Comeback Player of the Year award.
