Serena Williams may not be at 2022 Roland Garros, but the 23-time Grand Slam champ is still making money moves off the court thanks to the auction of her 2003 rookie card.

Williams, who previously held the record for the most expensive card in women’s sport, set a new standard this week when her card sold for a whopping $266,400; the card features a patch from her match dress.

While Williams’ future remains unknown, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has put his illustrious tennis career in the rear-view mirror after making his retirement official on Tuesday. The French star and 2008 Australian Open runner-up played his final match in Paris against No. 8 seed Casper Ruud. With the French crowd behind him, it appeared possible for Tsonga to pull off one last command performance, but Ruud rallied and ultimately advanced in four sets.

What followed was an emotional retirement ceremony that included video and in-person appearances from the game’s best players.
