He hasn't played a tour-level match in more than a year due to injury, but that doesn't mean that Milos Raonic isn't keeping up with the happenings on the professional tennis tour—and the 31-year-old former world No. 3 was one of the first people to congratulate his compatriots on a historic Davis Cup triumph.

After Felix Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov led Canada to its first-ever Davis Cup in the competition's 109-year history on Sunday with a 2-0 victory over Australia, the one-time Canadian stalwart took to Twitter to laud their efforts.

"Many Canadians have achieved a lot in tennis," Raonic wrote. "This shows the strength of Canadian tennis at at an international team stage, winning the highest achievement.

"This is the greatest moment in Canadian tennis and I hope we get to see it happen many more times!"

Two-time Grand Slam finalist Raonic helped position Canada for this moment, as he was an integral part of Canada's Davis Cup team from 2010-18, and posted an 18-6 record across singles and doubles.
