When serving down 1-5, 15-40, one might have the tendency to go for broke in the shot-making department. In Adrian Andreev’s case, he channeled Nick Kyrgios and Alexander Bublik on Wednesday afternoon.

With what exactly? A sneaky underarm serve.

Facing Wu Tung-lin at the Sarasota Challenger, Andreev casually brought out the tactic to great success for an ace, as the ball bounced three times before reaching Wu. The 23-year-old attempted to claim he wasn’t ready, but the chair umpire didn’t buy it. As commentator Bryan Fenley put it, Andreev nonchalantly caught his opponent off guard.

The moment was short-lived when Wu, nicknamed "Tony", clinched the set on the ensuing point to force a decider. Still, Andreev ultimately had the last laugh. The Bulgarian qualifier, who eliminated Ryan Harrison in the previous round, prevailed in a final-set tiebreaker to make the quarterfinals.
