Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Sergiy Stakhovsky had their first meeting since 2015 on Wednesday in Halle. The match  started off as any other match, as Stakhovsky quickly went up 5-1 in the first set but then things took an unexpected turn.

Herbert hit a serve that was called out, and he walked up to the net in disbelief, and was eager to challenge the call. However, Herbert had no challenges remaining and requested Stakhovsky to gift one to him. Shockingly Stakhovsky obliged: the ball grazed the line and was called in. Stakhovsky ended up claiming the first set, but would eventually fall  2-6, 7-6 (2), 6-4.

That wasn’t all the weirdness in the match though. In the second set, Stakhovsky missed his first serve in the net and ball boy Jaron went running, but before he made it to the other side he slipped and tumbled to the ground. Jaron laid on the court in agony, holding his knee before being wheel-chaired off the court. Herbert shook his hand and gave him his headband.

The ball boy is already feeling better and posed for a picture with Herbert following the unusual match.
