Hailing from Japan, Yoshihito Nishioka is back in his home country after competing at this year's French Open. The 25-year-old lost in the second round, but seemed in high spirits as he recapped his time in Paris while in voluntary quarantine at home.

First, he dove into his first-round match with home favorite Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, who may have played in his final French Open.

"I think I got off to a good start in the beginning of the match," Nishioka said. "And I was able to get things going in my favor…my fighting style has improved a lot."

In the second round, Nishioka took on Lorenzo Musetti and lost in straight sets, 7-5, 6-3, 6-2. The 25-year-old says that "Musetti is a strong clay player" and that the faster surface suited him well.

"Most importantly, Musetti was unfazed throughout the match. I was also good in the beginning, but I miscalculated a pass set and couldn't get it done, so I couldn't catch the flow from there," he said.

Nishioka has lost in the second round of the French Open three years in a row, but it doesn't seem like the young player is fazed.
