The stars came out for the business end of the Australian Open.

Pop artists Renee Rap and The Veronicas, the stage act of twin sisters Lisa and Jessica Origliasso, performed on site ahead of Elena Rybakina's three-set victory over Aryna Sabalenka on Saturday, which was watched by Bill Gates, Good Trouble actress Maia Mitchell and others.

And with history on the line for both Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic in the men's final on Sunday, a contest eventually won by Alcaraz in four sets, famous faces abounded in the stands.

In celebration of his 2005 Australian Open title, Marat Safin presented Alcaraz with the trophy and arrived on the court with actress Chloë Grace Moretz.

Additional celebrities in attendance included actor Liam Hemsworth and his fiancee, Gabriella Brooks; Succession star Sarah Snook and her husband Dave Lawson; Emmy nominee Rachael Griffiths; and K-pop artist BamBam, member of the South Korean boy band Got7,

But most exciting for tennis fans may have been the presence of several legends. Ashleigh Barty, Rafael Nadal and Dylan Alcott kicked things off in a celebration on court, and Nadal stuck around to watch his young compatriot complete the career Grand Slam.

Alcaraz said that having Nadal in the stands watching on made his crowning moment even more special.

"Lifting the trophy for the first time in Australia was crazy. A dream come true. I dreamt about getting an Australian Open and completing the career Grand Slam," he said.
