Carlos Alcaraz vs. Luca Nardi: Match Preview

Yesterday afternoon, Alcaraz moved smoothly past fellow 22-year-old Hamad Medjedovic, 6-4, 6-4, to not only become the first man to win 50 matches this year, but to become the only man to win 50 or matches in each of the last four years.

Tonight, he'll be back on court seeking his 51st win of 2025 against another 22-year-old, Luca Nardi.

The Italian, who's best known for stunning then-No. 1 Novak Djokovic at Indian Wells last year, was a lucky loser into the main draw here but has battled his way into the fourth round. He now gets a crack at Alcaraz, whom he pushed to three sets in the pair's only previous meeting, a 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 victory for the Spaniard in Doha earlier this year.

Alcaraz, who's three months older than Nardi, has never lost a match to anyone younger than himself, going 10-0—will the Italian break the streak?
