The two meet Alexandra Panova and Fanny Stollar in their opener.

Defending champions Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini are set to run it back on home soil. The No. 3 seeds, who face Jiang Xinyu and Wu Fang-Hsien, lead the quarter that Gauff and Eala landed in.

Routliffe and Gabriela Dabrowski sit atop the draw, while Katerina Siniakova and Zhang Shuai occupy the bottom slot as the No. 2 seeds. Among the remaining combinations include sixth seeds Mirra Andreeva-Diana Shnaider, Daria Kasatkina-Peyton Stearns and Linda Noskova-Clara Tauson.
