WATCH: Tennis Channel Live discusses the Australian Open's latest batch of main draw wildcards, which includes former major champions Venus Williams and Dominic Thiem.

Emma Raducanu is looking to return the attention to her tennis as she starts the season.

The 20-year-old from Great Britain became a sensation when she won the 2021 US Open, the first champion to come through qualifying and win a Grand Slam.

Though she says she has not changed, a lot else did.

"The other things around me have changed a lot. So I’ve become extremely busy... that's probably the biggest thing," Raducanu told press at the ASB Classic in Auckland.

"I’m probably more in the public eye, but it comes with the territory and I wouldn’t change it for what happened."

But on court, Raducanu has had a tough season following her big win, currently No. 78 following repeated physical problems and stopping play with a wrist problem.

She's only been back on court for a little while, returning at the Abu Dhabi exhibition during the offseason.

"I didn't play any tennis for two and a half, three months. I did lots of fitness," she said. "I've just started getting back into tennis ten days, two weeks."

Raducanu is starting the season with new coach Sebastian Sachs, and recently added fitness trainer Jez Green in a bid to reduce injuries next season.

"I'm feeling good. It's been a bit stop-start," she said, reiterating that she is concentrating on her conditioning. "I feel like I'm setting up a good system right now."

She's also getting used to her status and the scrutiny that comes with it.

''If there’s something worth talking about they’ll talk, if you’re not worth talking about, then they won’t talk about you," she said.

Raducanu is next scheduled to play the Australian Open.
