Felix Auger-Aliassime has qualified for this year's ATP Finals in Turin, marking the second time in his career that he'll play at the season-ending tournament, having also competed there in 2022.

He secured his qualification on Saturday after Lorenzo Musetti, the only other player left in contention for the last spot, fell to Djokovic in a grueling three-set final in Athens. The Italian, currently No. 9 in the Race to the ATP Finals standings, needed to win the title at the ATP 250 event to pass Auger-Aliassime, who's currently in the No. 8 spot.

Musetti would later move into the main field at the ATP Finals after Djokovic, who had already qualified, announced his withdrawal.

And so, the field for Turin is set, with Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, Alex de Minaur, Auger-Aliassime and Musetti making up this year's elite eight.

After recording his first Top 10 finish in 2022, ending that year at No. 6, Auger-Aliassime struggled over the next two years, finishing both 2023 and 2024 at No. 29 (and dipping as low as No. 36 last year).

But he's made a big resurgence this year, posting 48 wins and reaching the quarterfinals or better 13 times, which includes three ATP titles in Adelaide, Montpellier and Brussels, two more finals in Dubai (an ATP 500) and Paris (a Masters 1000) and another five semifinals, including his second career Grand Slam semifinal at the US Open.

And his late push to Turin was noteworthy—he's won 22 of his last 27 matches, reaching the quarterfinals or better at his last six tournaments in a row between Cincinnati and Paris.

He withdrew from Metz this week with a left knee injury, leaving his ATP Finals fate up to Musetti in Athens, but things worked out in the end.

Now back up to No. 8 on the ATP rankings, the Canadian is guaranteed to finish in the Top 10 for the second time in his career.

With Musetti—who's No. 9 on the Race to the ATP Finals standings—now in the main field, and Jack Draper, who's No. 10, having ended his 2025 season after the US Open due to an arm injury, it's going to be No. 11 Alexander Bublik who serves as first alternate in Turin this year.

Bublik has had the best season of his career this year, reaching his first Grand Slam quarterfinal at Roland Garros and capturing three titles—an ATP 500 crown in Halle and two ATP 250s in Gstaad and Kitzbuhel. He also recorded his first career win over a world No. 1 by stunning Jannik Sinner in the second round in Halle.

The second alternate is yet to be announced.
