“It wasn’t the season I hoped for but lots of lessons learned on and off court,” the former No. 10 wrote on Instagram.

“I want to give a huge S/O to my team. I’ve been with these guys for several years. We’ve shared some incredible moments that I’ll remember forever.”

Tiafoe further announced he would be starting 2026 with a new coaching squad, coaches David Witt and Jordi Arconada separately revealing they had parted ways with the two-time US Open semifinalist on their own social media platforms.

“I truly appreciate the love..energy…passion and brotherhood. It’s been a great ride and only bigger and better things for all of us ahead,” Tiafoe explained. “Excited for what’s ahead for me and ready to put the work in. Thanks for all the love and support thru it all. The best is yet to come.”

At 27, Tiafoe kicked off the year looking for a fourth straight finish inside the Top 20. Despite raching a first Roland Garros quarterfinal, he ultimately fell to No. 29 after a mixed season ended with an opening-round loss at the Rolex Shanghai Masters to Yannick Hanfmann.

Prior to that, the DMV native suffered a shock third-round defeat at the US Open, later opening up about feeling flat through a straight-sets upset to Jan-Lennard Struff.

“I played extremely passive today,” he said in his post-match press conference. “I didn't put any pressure on him at all.”

Tiafoe is currently ranked fourth among U.S. men, trailing No. 4 Taylor Fritz and No. 6 Ben Shelton—both of whom remain in the hunt to qualify for the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin—and No. 20 Tommy Paul.
