Jessica Pegula became the first player into the quarterfinals of this year's Wuhan Open on Thursday afternoon, battling past Ekaterina Alexandrova in the first third-round match of the day, 7-5, 3-6, 6-3.
And with that, Pegula pulls off a nifty stat—she's now reached the quarterfinals or better at all 10 current WTA 1000 events in her career.
Wuhan was the only one missing from her collection. Before this year, her best result at the event was a third-round finish last year.
PEGULA'S BEST RESULTS BY CURRENT WTA 1000 EVENT:
- QFs of Doha (2025)
- SFs of Dubai (2023)
- QFs of Indian Wells (2021)
- F of Miami (2025)
