It’s a special week for Jessica Pegula this week, as she returns to Charleston as the top seed and defending champion, having captured the first tour-level clay-court title of her career at the WTA 500-level event last year.

But there’s more.

Today, the world No. 5 kicks off her milestone 200th career week inside the Top 10 of the WTA rankings.

And it’s all consecutive—she first broke into the Top 10 on June 6th, 2022, rising from No. 11 to No. 8 after reaching the quarterfinals of Roland Garros, and she hasn’t left since.

It’s the third-longest active streak among the current WTA Top 10, after the usual suspects, Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek.

ACTIVE STREAKS IN WTA TOP 10 (as of week of March 30, 2026):

  • 281 weeks: Aryna Sabalenka [since Nov. 16, 2020]
  • 231 weeks: Iga Swiatek [since Nov. 1, 2021]
  • 200 weeks: Jessica Pegula [since June 6, 2022]
  • 186 weeks: Coco Gauff [since Sept. 12, 2022]

  • 55 weeks: Mirra Andreeva [since March 17, 2025]
  • 38 weeks: Amanda Anisimova [since July 14, 2025]
  • 34 weeks: Elena Rybakina [since Aug. 11, 2025]
  • 9 weeks: Elina Svitolina [since Feb. 2, 2026]
  • 7 weeks: Victoria Mboko [since Feb. 16, 2026]

And while 200 weeks in the Top 10 is already an incredible feat, it gets even more interesting when broken down by ranking.

She's spent her whole Top 10 stay (200 weeks) in the No. 3-9 range, 95% of it (190 weeks) in the No. 3-7 range, 87% (173 weeks) in the No. 3-6 range and 71% (142 weeks) in the Top 5.

She reached her career-high ranking of No. 3 for the first time on October 24th, 2022 and has spent 52 weeks—so just over a quarter of her stay in the Top 10—at that spot.

JESSICA PEGULA'S 200 TOP 10 WEEKS BY RANKING:

  • No. 3: 52 weeks
  • No. 4: 34 weeks
  • No. 5: 56 weeks [including this week]
  • No. 6: 31 weeks
  • No. 7: 17 weeks
  • No. 8: 7 weeks
  • No. 9: 3 weeks

After a bye, Pegula will begin her Charleston campaign on Tuesday or Wednesday against either Yulia Putintseva or Lulu Sun, who play their first-round match on Monday.
