Fonseca Graphite Release b

There’s a new rookie class in town. At least as it pertains to the tennis card market.

It’s leader? Joao Fonseca.

For the first time, collectors had the opportunity to chase the Brazilian in a circulated product. Fonseca’s inaugural licensed rookie card officially hit the market Friday with the release of 2026 Topps Graphite Tennis.

Fonseca was printed in eight different sets, a base rookie and seven inserts. His most sought after cards are five Red Crystalline Refractor 1/1 parallels, including his first autograph in the “Match Point Marks” series. The 19-year-old also features in three super short prints (or case hits in card land), including the line’s “Mirrored” unveiling.

Other rookies of note include McCartney Kessler, Talia Gibson, Dino Prizmic, Nishesh Basavareddy and Zeynep Sonmez. It’s remains to be seen if rapidly-rising standouts Rafael Jodar and Lilli Tagger will be included in Topps' Q3 and Q4 2026 releases of Chrome and Royalty, or held for the following year.

On the same day, NetPro went out with its first tennis release since bringing Carlos Alcaraz to the card market in August 2022. Buyers had the opportunity to grab a new slate of Iva Jovic cards, following her rookie release in a pair of 2025 Topps products (Chrome and Sapphire) that were delayed until February and March of this year.

Within 25 minutes of going live, every autograph (her first “on-card” offering) and jersey card available for purchase had sold out. Prices for those variations ranged from $75 to $800, with the company opening its inbox for offers on four 1/1 cards listed.

In between its Alcaraz and Jovic signings, NetPro previously sold out a collection featuring pickleball star Anna-Leigh Waters in October 2023.
